Kathy Norell Russell is a native of Paterson, New Jersey. She serves alongside her husband and best friend Pastor John L. Russell at Triumphant Church in Durham, North Carolina. They have one daughter - Ayanah.
Kathy’s education includes a bachelor in nursing degree from North Carolina Central University and a dual master’s in Business Administration and Healthcare Management. Her career in the clinical research field spans over 25 years. It has afforded her the opportunity to work alongside some of the most brilliant minds in health and science as well as travel the world.
Kathy’s passion is undoubtedly worshiping God which she thoroughly enjoys doing alongside her Triumphant Church Family where she currently serves as the Director of Operations, Worship Leader and Women’s Ministry Leader.
Kathy has devoted her life to serving God and serving God’s people. She states: “It’s the least I can do for a God that has changed the course of my life in an amazing way!”
Her testimony scripture is: II Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
