This year, we are participating in a challenge to show the love of Jesus Christ to the world. Track your challenge using a notebook or journal and by commenting on the blog.
January: This month is National Blood Donor Month: If you can, donate blood, donate your time by volunteering, donate money or donate a ride to someone who wants to give blood, if this feels safe for you. If this is not feasible, call a friend or family member you haven’t talked to in a while to check on them. February: Share love with one person each week who may not ordinarily be shown love (card, words of encouragement, small gift, take them to lunch or out for coffee, etc.). March: Complete at least one act of kindness each week this month (compliment one person a week, pay for someone’s groceries or meal in the drive through, hold the door open for someone, help a family in need push their grocery cart to the car/load groceries, if this feels safe, hand out encouragement cards - make your own with scriptures or positive affirmations).
April: Offer hope this month by witnessing the good news of Jesus to at least one person. May: If you are on social media offer a positive word or scripture at least once a week - many people may be missing their mom’s and need your love! If you can, share love in any way you choose to a woman other than your mom who has mentored you in life. June: If you are on social media offer a positive word or scripture at least once each week - many people may be missing their dad’s and need your love! If you can, share love in any way you choose to a man other than your dad who has mentored you in life. July: Randomly speak to at least one person a week. Share a smile and maybe ask them how they are doing. I promise, it will brighten their day! August: Choose a child or family to give school supplies with them. Their family will appreciate it. Go big and get your family/friends in with you. Maybe your church or organization can have a back-to-school drive for the community. September: This month is for you! Choose one activity a week to show yourself some love! October: Give a card with encouraging words to a breast cancer survivor and/or a breast cancer caregiver. November: Gather a group of family members and/or friends and buy a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need. December: Give a gift with someone you would not normally give a gift to.
